No One’s POV:
Kyung Mi went through the hallway and she was curious about the rooms that Hangeng didn’t show to her. So she tried to open one of the rooms a bit nearer to her room. Unfortunately, it was lock. She tried to open the other one but it was locked too. Feeling disappointed, she continued her walked towards the stairs.
She went down and headed to the door when suddenly Sunny called her.
“Kyung Mi-ssi, where are you going?” she asked.
Kyung Mi turned around and looked at Sunny.
“I’m going out for a while unnie, just around this mansion.”
“Okay, but don’t be late. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.” Sunny remind Kyung Mi.
“Nae. Bye unnie!” Kyung waved at Sunny and went out of the mansion.
She walked at the left side of the mansion where the garden was. When she was at the front of a gazebo, someone tap her shoulder and she let out a little yelp. She turned around and saw Leeteuk who was standing right in front of her.
“Aish, Leeteuk oppa. You scared me to death! Don’t you ever do that to me like that again.” Kyung Mi said while pouting.
Leeteuk laugh seeing that Kyung Mi startled like that. He folds his arms and smiled at her.
“Mianhae, I didn’t know that you’re going to startle like that. By the way, you shouldn’t yelp like that. It scares me too.” Leeteuk said while he took his hand spade from his jeans pocket. Then he walked towards the garden.
Kyung Mi raised her eyebrow and she folded her arms. She was left confounded, so she followed him to the garden. Leeteuk was fast so she had to have a quick step to catch him up.
“Oppa wait up!” she shouted to Leeteuk who was still walking.
Leeteuk stopped and turn around. Kyung Mi was running a little and Leeteuk giggled as he watched Kyung Mi running.
Kyung Mi pants when she reached at Leeteuk. Leeteuk was still giggled at Kyung Mi and it made Kyung Mi felt a bit annoyed with his giggles.
“What’s with the giggle?” asked Kyung Mi while she pouts.
Leeteuk holds his giggles with his hand and he shook his head as the sign of ‘nothing’.
“It’s funny that you were running trying to catch me up.” Leeteuk finally spoke as he had controlled himself from giggling.
“Anyway, why do you even bother yourself following me?” asked Leeteuk.
“Well, I wanna see the garden, that’s why I’m following you. Can you take me there?” Kyung Mi said while she was twiddling her fingers.
“Hmmmm... No.”
“Awh,...Please?”
“Ummm...No.” Leeteuk said while he tilts his head to the left side. It really makes Kyung Mi felt annoyed.
“Why not?”Kyung Mi said while she folds her arms.
“Because...I don’t want to, that’s why!” Leeteuk said while he giggles again at Kyung Mi.
Kyung Mi face turned red; feeling a bit mad at Leeteuk for fooling her around. She turned away from him and wanted to walk back to the mansion. But Leeteuk got her arm and he grasped her to stop.
“Yah Kyung Mi! Don’t be mad, I was just joking. Mianhae.” Leeteuk said in a bit panic.
Kyung Mi stopped and she was hiding her laugh; seeing that Leeteuk panicked as he thought that she was really mad at him. She turned around to face him while she pouts a little.
“So will you take me to the garden or not?”
“Aish, of course I will you silly! I was just joking for not gonna take you to the garden.”
“Yeah! Yippie!” Kyung Mi jumped for joy as she was happy that she will going to see the garden.
Leeteuk just shook his head in disbelief and he leads the way for her. They walked at the stone slabs pathways which lead them to the garden. Kyung Mi was very excited and she hopped all the way like a little girl; makes Leeteuk wants to laugh seeing that she was really that excited.
“Here we are Kyung Mi, the garden that you wanted to see.” Leeteuk said while he pointed at the garden to Kyung Mi.
Kyung Mi gasped, as much impressed when she saw the garden. The garden was full with animal topiaries and it also had a little maze topiary which was fun to play hide and seek there. It also had a lot of beautiful and colourful flowers such as roses, carnations, marigolds and even chrysanthemum.
“Umm... Leeteuk Oppa, did you do this all by yourself?” asked Kyung Mi curiously.
“Well... some of them.” Leeteuk said while he scratched his head back a little even though he didn’t felt an itch there.
“Huh? What do you mean some of them?”
“Umm... you see, before you moved in here, my brother Lee Sungmin worked here with me. He really loves gardening and he’s the one who turned this garden from a total wreck into a beautiful heaven. I only helped him planted the flowers. For a garden lover, it only took him for about 2 years to finish up this garden.”
“Oh, I see. What happen to him?”
“He quits the job last year, and went to London. He worked with another rich man there and asked me to look after this garden for him. He really loves this garden though.”
“Yeah...I can see that.”
They both went silence for a while. Kyung Mi faced to the garden and took a deep breath of the fresh air while she closed her eyes. She let the gentle breeze caressed her skin and let out her breath slowly.
“Kyung Mi, I think I should go now. There’s some topiary that I need to trim.” Leeteuk said as he realised that it’s almost late in the evening and he didn’t done his work yet.
“Nae, Kamsahamnida Oppa for showing me to this garden.” Kyung Mi said while she faced back to Leeteuk.
Leeteuk bowed a little and waved goodbye towards Kyung Mi. Kyung Mi waved him back and watched him went into the little maze topiary until he was disappeared into the maze. Kyung Mi looked at her watch; and she still has time to have a look around. She walked back to the gazebo and went to the front of the mansion.
The mansion’s front has a beautiful fountain which it has white roses and petunias surrounding the fountain. It has a frog sculpture which it squirts the water out from its mouth. The water seems fine, so Kyung Mi went to the fountain and sat beside it. She looked into the water and saw a few little and colourful guppies swimming in the water. She took out her hands and played with the water happily.
Kyung Mi’s POV:
Omo! I really have so much fun wandering around this mansion! I never thought that this mansion was really this beautiful not just it’s inside, but outside too!
No One’s POV:
As she was playing with the water, suddenly her eyes caught on an old coop at the right side of the mansion. It’s located near a tree and it looks like it has been abandoned for years. It seems a bit scary but Kyung Mi wanted to look inside the coop.
‘I wonder if they had chickens in that old coop.’ Thought Kyung Mi.
Without hesitating, she walked towards it and hoped that there are chickens in the coop.
